Henry Gaither, and Col. William Smallwood, serving to the close of the war. He was in the siege of Yorktown. He removed to Kentucky and from there to Lawrence county, Illinois, where he died October 12, 1839. He was pensioned." "Illinois Revolutionary War Veteran Burials", 1917
