Military: Veteran Civil War Where born: Eugene - Vermillion Co IN Where died: Hanover IN: Son of: Rev Samuel Baldridge (21 Mar 1780-29 Feb 1860 Orio) & Mary Coulter (26 Jan 1794-12 Sep 1846) both buried Hanover Cemetery - Jefferson Co IN; Rev S C graduated Hanover College in 1849 and New Albany Theological Seminary in 1853 Married: 17 Dec 1855 Wabash Co Jane Corrie*; organized the Friendsville Presbyterian Church in 1857; in 1862 during the Civil War he was Chaplain of the 11th Regiment Missouri Infantry and served in that capacity for about a year when he resigned to accept a call extended to him by the Presbyterian churches of Friendsville and Wabash Co (Orio). He was Principal of the Friendsville Seminary from 1876 to 1880 and was the head of the school from the time it was founded in 1865.
